Can Can anyone advise what should I do rather than waiting for the acknowledgement to come through? Looking at time line of other people it's taking way to long for my application considering home office haven't even deducted the application fee for over a month

Thanks everyone for their support.
You got it? bloody fast, pal; I would have had time to get time, but no biggie.

So they send it by special delivery and you have to sign it right? same for your other passport and cert?

You just need a reference number on the letter to book interview even if you dont have one they are not really fussy about reference number, if you give your name, dob, address they will still book interview if your are on their system.

Post Office Send and Check Question

Post by cordelio » Fri Oct 25, 2013 12:15 pm

Dear All,

Quick question on Send and Check and apologies if the answer was covered somewhere else before. I am currently out of the country and cannot physically check post office, I couldn't see any online form or booking option for the post office.

Do I need to go to post office, pick-up an application and come back at a later time/date to submit it or as long as I go with my signed photo can I just fill the form there and submit it.

They also gave us the passport application form at the end of the ceremony, can we fill it and use it for check and send?

Many thanks for the response

ah that's good, because letters get lost some times; so you can just call them and sort it out over the phone?

For check & send, you will need to pick up form from the post office, fill it in and hand it to post office staff to check it and send it. You can go to any post office and pick up form and hand it in at later date.

If you want to fill and send the form then and there, you will have to take your referee (counter signatory) with you, as they need to fill a part on the application and sign.

So if you are out of country you can't go personally. There is online version, you will need to fill it, then passport office will send it to your address, you will need to sign it and return it along with all the documents.

In short you will need to be in country to do this. Or online here

https://passports.ips.gov.uk/epa1r1a/index.aspx?c=1

You can send the form to passport office even if you are out of country, however you will need to attend interview for your first adult passport.
