yes I'm still waiting too hope it will be soon for us. My friend just applied just this October and after 2 weeks she received the letter of confirmation for her citizenship
@shavgreig - any idea what date your friend applied and method of application? the reason I'm asking is I applied in first week, 5th of October, all I have got is acknowledgement letter
. @ Forbc123, she apllied 1st of October got the acknowledgement 9th October, she received approval letter 18th and she booked her oath taking on 11th November she applied through post. And I applied through NCS.

We applied on 8th at NCS, still no fee. As you say, they are swamped with applications.

I can't see anyone's card being charged since 24th getting bit worried now. I don't even know if mine got delivered or not as my NCS didn't provide me any reference numbers.

Then ring the NCS and ask them for the tacking number.

My NCS office used DX Secure delivery. I didn't bother to get a reference number, although I could do. The chances that it did not arrive are slim to none. The delay is ridiculous - 3 weeks have passed already, and it will probably be 4 weeks by the time they take payment. So that means it is sitting there for 4 weeks before they even start it. I see some September applications where 4 weeks is all it took from start to finish...

I don't know what part of " this is for TIMELINE ONLY" people are not getting. Please can we focus on timeline and post any queries on the other sticky post called general discussion?
Thanks all for understanding!

Well my comment is about timeline. I never asked any questions. I am commenting on that payment window has slipped from couple of weeks to few weeks. I am sorry if that caused any offence but I don’t think it’s appropriate to create a separate post just for comments.

Mate. I didn't mean anyone specific. I understand your frustration and I totally share the same worries. You are allowed to ask questions it is the purpose of these forums we are all here friends and help each other with friendly advices that's all.
Now. This post is getting too long and up to 15 pages mostly questions and there's already a sticky post called General Discussion" . Anyway don't worry about your payment. They are just too busy. Give them a call to make sure they got your application then relax . We all waiting for October application to move forward and the only way to monitor the daily progress is to leave the space for timeline which will answer all questions. :)

Can I help to answer the person above all this comment, I know its also frustrating that your waiting for so long however, I too though I only just submitted my application on the 23rd of Oct and reached the 24th of October by royal mail tracking and signed for. I phoned UKBA (option 2) The lady said to me they know so many people are still waiting for the deduction of fees and to receive their acknowledgement letters but that they are under immense pressure with the backlog of applications from September and October to get through. So I think we should all be happy that at least our applications are there and just pray and hope for the best. Cheers

Hi All ,

When i check my application status , the customer service has replied that the application is waiting for consideration.

Does it mean that the application is not assigned to any case worker?

Whatever they say has no meaning for any applicant. Assigned a caseworker or not assigned a caseworker has no meaning and does not have any bearing or effect on the time frame. Only thing that matters to an applicant is the decision, be it approval or refusal.
