I contacted HO 4 times during this six months period. The first 3 times their reply was usual that ‘no decision has been made yet…’ and the 4th time they said ‘as it’s been less than 6 months since you submitted your application, we can’t provide any update yet...’. I then got my MP involved by mid of Oct.

Thanks for clarification, congrats again, enjoy.

I had a CCJ in April 2011 of £123 which is paid in full and I have 6 points on my license for Driving without insurance on March 2010. I have declared both in my application. I hope these would not cause any problem to my application.

Too early to be emailing and dont worry it will not have an impact cause CCJ paid and the point declared
What email address did you use.?
I believe he/she uses nationalityprogress@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk, I uses that same email address and they reply, saying that I am not yet on the system. Good luck

I have called and emailed HO for status and they finally confirmed today that a decision was sent out yesterday and have refused to tell me the status. Now am so nervous not sure wot to expect as my application was not so straight forward. I had to declare a CCJ I had last year but was unaware of when I applied for ILR. SO not sure if my application might be rejected. Just so stressed
Yaayyyy, I finally got the brown envelope, thanks all this is a great forum. Information is power.

Hi Everyone,

I notice a deduction in my bank balance today, I am assuming that HO has taken payment, as it is the sum of £874, I had applied on 16/10/2013.

Congrats Loveislovely

Did you apply through NCS? Did UKBA received your application on 16th or you sent yours on 16th. One last question did you just saw a drop in the available balance today or you can see the posted transaction with name Nationality Direct when you login to internet banking.

Hi Imran,

I applied independently, using special delivery. I sent my app on the 15/10/2013, it reaches HO the following day, I checked my account this morning approximately 10.30, money was still there, then I checked it again at 13.20 and I notice a drop in available balance, I did email them yesterday and they reply after 15 mins, saying that they cannot find me on the system, and that they are very, which result in application progress being delayed. Hope we all get through soon.

Ceremony date letter

Post by thirdlioness » Sun Nov 10, 2013 10:40 pm

Hi Glenrock, congratulations on going through the final hoop. Do you mind if I ask a question? Once you receive your approval letter, do you have to contact the council yourself for a ceremony date? Or does the HO send another letter stating the ceremony date? Or do you have to contact the council for a ceremony date with another letter (following the letter of approval) that HO sends you? Just wondering about the proceedings after the approval letter.

Many thanks
