They screwed up and couldn't process my credit card, so I got an acknowledgment of receipt and a payment form. I sent it back and then emailed the Nationality Helpdesk. Got a call back the same day and I gave them the details over the phone, which went through ok. Hope I'm not bumped to the back of the queue though.

Finally!!!After almost 4 weeks(exactly 26 days!)i saw today, around 5pm a drop on my credit card's balance of exactly 874 pounds.From experience, i know it usually takes a few days to actually show details on my online statement.I doubt it could be anything else, my credit card was stranded in a hidden place at home, didn't use it at all, to make sure i have enough funds for UKBA. So guys, my waiting game has just gone to the next level.For all those still waiting for the fee to be taken yet, i can only say this: i know what you're going through, just be patient, you will have your money taken eventually.I know that waiting sucks sometimes, but think about it for a second and ask yourself this: is there anything you can do to speed up this process?i really doubt it, if anyone knows a way, PLEASE SHARE IT WITH US!!!You would be a king amongst us, but do not forget that UKBA says on their website that majority of applications get sorted WITHIN 6 MONTHS!Good luck guys, hang in there, good things happen to those who wait.

I am happy for you that at long last they have taken the £874 from your account. My wife sent her AN form and MN1 form for our child on October 21st and so far money has not been debited nor acknowledgement letter has been received so I guess we just have to wait but it sucks!

well, looking at my timeline, my application arrived at UKBA on 18.10, yours on the 21.10.So, give it another few days, hopefully by the end of this week they will take the fees for yours too.Good luck and don't lose hope!

Thank you dr_me. This is very helpful, there are a lot of us in Oct still waiting for sure, and it seems last week approvals froze somehow. In all cases, let us wait and see.. no rush..

Payment finally went out of my wife's account today, almost one month since application was made. Now waiting for the brown envelop with abated breath.

Case Progress: Called local council this morning (29/11/13) to enquire about booking citizenship ceremony. Informed by lady she has received my wife's Certificate but cannot book ceremony until my wife receives her Home Office letter.
Looking at my timeline, it appears Home Office is processing applications fairly quickly. Will keep forum updated when my wife receives her approval letter. The only downside now is that she needs to wait until January for Ceremony.

Even by the order of fee deduction, the decison process look like totally random.

Called HO with NFEE number. Advised that decision has been taken and letter has been sent out and will get it in next week. Let us see.....

Just out of curiosity, will we get 2 different acknowledgement letters? one for my wife AN and one for our child MN1? or just one for both applications? An and MN1 applications were sent together in same envelope. Thanks v much.
