Sorry I submitted my application on 18/09

Is it worth calling the Croydon office to get to know the decision?
Hi Kibria, your application reached on 18/09 or 18/10 ( October)?? In the time line post you mentioned:

Posted: Thu Oct 24, 2013 7:33 pm Post subject: Reply with quote
Application type: Adult British Citizenship Application
Method of Application: Royal Mail Tracked, Guarantee Next Day Delivery
Date When Fees Was Deducted: Fee not deducted yet
Date of application:18/10/13
Date of Receipt of application: 19/10/13

If it's 18/10 then the decision was made very quick, good luck :)
Yes I posted my application on 18/09

Something really strange is happening. I received email reply from Nationality Help desk saying decision has been made on my application, when I called the Home office number and asked for update the adviser said no decision has been made and the application is still in progress. Don't know whom to believe?

It was still a quick turn around. Good luck with the Passport application, hope it goes well too. Do you know the date the fees was taken from your back account? Just to figure out how long it takes from the fees being taken till the approval date. Many thanks.
Thank you - Last week of October ( The attorney did not say when excactly this was done)

try calling your local council - explain this to them and explore if they can help you out...because they must have your certificate with them by now assuming letter was sent few days ago...

I had to involve MP to give a kick.
I must have emailed HO atleast 10 times but I recieved the same automatic reply back. Considering some people recieve their approvals within weeks so obviously there is no queue system. I had a very straight forward application with no criminal records, benefits etc but still took too long until I involved my MP and within days my case my resolved. So moral of the story is "Vote Labour" :)

Not sure about what you can do in this situation, other than wait for the invitation letter. My parents received just the invitation, not another approval letter up front.
