I submitted my EEA4 application on 16th May 2013 but i am still waiting for it to be decided.

Now I need to travel by end of next month if someone can help me to request my passport back please.

Is this online or i have to fill the form and attach it to UKBA ?

On 11th Nov my lawyer sent EEA4 (I Rretained rights of residence in July 2013), so now my time of waiting has started.... i hope i won't have to wait 6 months.....

What Documents you have submitted with your application ?

My situation is similar to yours, I retained the right since March 2012.

Then i submitted my EEA4 Application in May 2013 and still waiting

As I submitted using a lawyer I gave him everything I had: like my ex payslips, bank statements of our joint account and my statements, my payslip. I trust my lawyer as he is very good one and not expensive.

Thought I'd share my timeline...

2nd July 2013 - EEA Application sent; paid new app fee w/ credit card
3rd July 2013 - Application received
10th July 2013 - Received letter confirming application received (which also confirmed my right to work while app is being processed)
29th October 2013 - Permanent Residence Card Issued
4th November 2013 - Passport, card, and paperwork received

In terms of paperwork, I submitted both our passports (with my EEA residence card), used a selection of utility bills, bank statements, council tax statements for the past five years (with both our names), tenancy agreements (with both our names) and my partners P60s.

It came back much faster than expected. Good luck to everyone!

I think four months is acceptable.

Hi all, another good news story for those still waiting.

20/8/13 - sent EEA 4 + documents
22/8/13 - received acknowledgement letter
23/8/13 - payment taken out of my account
17/11/13 - asked for documents return online
18/11/13 - PR issued
20/11/13 - passport + docs received

I had completely steeled myself to not worry/think about it until February when it would have been 6 months. All together just under 3months.
I sent in the app myself after conflicting information from solicitors e.t.c.
The advice and experience of others using this forum was invaluable. Thanks you all for your help and best of luck to those who are still on their journey.

Finally today I received my Permanent Residence Card
I wanted to share my timeline for PRC.
18/07/2013 I sent all documents
20/07/2013 received a letter from HO saying that they have received my application
25/07/2013 received another letter from HO that says 20/07/2013 my application passed through the caseworker.
23/11/2013 received all my documents back with Permanent Residence Card.

Just wondering, why HO make a stick in my passport instead of separate document?
It means if my passport expires I will have to re-apply for new PRC?

For non EEA nationals, the PRC is in a form of vignette placed in the passport. It is valid for 10 years and can be used even after the passport expires. Just carry the old and new passports when travelling.

I applied for me and my 2 kids.
My husband passport(EEA passport)/my passport/kids passports
Marriage certificate (translate and apostil)
PS60 for 5 years from husband's work
Mortgage documents
Council tax bill (both names)
Letter from school (for kids)
Birth certificate for kids (translate and apostil)
Copy of driving license for both (just to proof address)
Letter from husband's work (his boss wrote that he know us as a good family)
That's all what I sent.

I hear different things from people that
it starts from the date you got married to eea national;
it starts from the date you made EEA2 app;
& it starts from the date on EEA2 RC
QUESTION is which is which ?

assuming you were living in the UK. Otherwise, from the time you entered the UK as a family member.

for unmarried partners, it starts from the time the RC is issued.

FULL TIME STUDENT: From 2008-2012 Student loans/grants documents while I was studying my BA Hons at Uni 4 year’s sandwich course attached with my degree certificate.
2012-2014 full time MSc postgraduate student.

Thanks for your reply, however i did request my passport back 2 weeks ago and I called the HO today checking on any update and they said a letter or decision was sent out to your representative ‘’my lawyer’’ on the 18th of Nov so finger crossed, hopefully its some good news after this long delays

well yesterday y lawyer recieved my passport with all the documents I applied with after 8 months wait attached with the HO decision with a refusal for not providing a vaild passport and bare in mind my passport is VALID UNTIL THE END OF 2015!!!!!!!!!!!!1 how hearthbroken is that I honstly have no words to say!!!!!

any ideas my peeps, I really need some help on what to do now !!!!!!!

Did you provide a valid passport for the EEA national?

You might want to ask for reconsideration if they made a mistake.
