I emailed Nationality helpdesk today and their update was as below;

''Thank you for your email.

I have checked our records and can confirm the decision has been made on these applications, the decision letter and any supporting documents should be with you shortly.

If you do not receive the decision within the next two weeks please contact us again.

I am unable to disclose the decision.

Kind Regards''

I applied on 02/10, fees debited on 16/10 and now keeping an eye on the brown envelope.

Wow Congrats, so our lot is motion.
I sure hope so, I applied on the same day 2nd of October.. fingers crossed
Congratulations to you :)

I hope all of us who applied end of September / early October get our approvals soon. I have got no trust left on any verbal (or even email) response from the Home Office. I applied on 30/09; funds deducted 14/10....

Called HO on 13/11 was told that decision has been made and letters will be dispatched the next day...

I called and emailed on 15/11 to check if it really has been dispatched, was told no decision has been made and I will be contacted in writing once a decision is made...

Called on 18/11 and I was told that letters have been dispatched that morning...still haven't received it.

The most annoying part is that every time I email / phone they quote the same nonsense that 95% of the cases are decided within 6 months and 5% may take longer....therefore I should not be contacting them. They charge an awful lot of money and I don't think it would take a lot to set up an online system available to the applicants to check/track the status of the application.
Bhiku Congrats - Other forum members who got that same email reported success.

Discoverer - Sometimes it takes as much as 10 days after letters dispatch to reach you. Hopefully very soon you will be smiling.

I used Credit card for payment. As I understand HO should have already started processing the pile of applications they received on 22nd Oct. It could take a day or two. Yours will be the next!

I found 19 applications for naturalisation in this forum that reached the HO on either October 9th or 10th. Of those only 3 have been decided so far - at least that posters have informed us of. So hold tight for a few more days.

hello all,

Hope somebody can answer my question as I am so confused now!

I have sent an email to UKBA regarding progressing of my application but after couple of hours I have decided to call Croydon office.

During telephone conversation I have been informed that decision has been made and I should receive a letter shortly.

Then I have received an email stating that decision has not been made!

Is anybody had similar situation and what was the outcome?
I have applied end of September, UKBA received on 01.10.2013, fees debited on 11.10.2013 and still waiting when a lot of people who applied far after me already got their approvals?

Confused!!!

thank you for your help.

It looks like they just reply everyone the same thing by email "your application is still in progress" even when a decision has already been made.

I think you'll get your envelope very soon.

PS: I applied on 30/09 (reached HO 2/10) - still waiting..
