As now u have submitted u have to wait but I heard OCI process is faster than POI correct me if I am wrong

i guess other way around now a days. for PIO if you apply in person, you can get it exactly after 30 days. they are giving collection date on the receipt on the day of applying.

Does anyone have any idea how long it takes for OCI to reach Sydney after dispatch from New Delhi. How do they send it, by air?? I see that most ppl on this forum are from London/UK, but I thought someone may have some info about delivery times. I have booked my tickets for 15 Dec and am desperate to get OCI b4 that.

Checked my status today. It says dispatched on 23-NOV-2013, but still there is some distance to go. It has to reach Sydney and then I have to submit my passport. Thursday 15th Nov,2013 - via Royal Mail secure delivery - I sent my OCI application also attached Royalmail return envolop as well.
But till date, there is no acknoledgement back from Lonon Indian comission.
Sent email as well no reply
When I checked online using my UK Passport numbaer and File reference number from PDF application - I am receiving 'NO RECORDS FOUND'

Does any one submitted application around same dates via Post. What is the status of your application.

it'll take 3-4 weeks until the online works [from the date you posted it]. until then it'll just show 'NO RECORDS FOUND'

My OCI has been dispatched on 25th Nov (Monday). No update on document recieved in London. I am travelling this weekend and i did not apply for visa this monday as usually it takes only a day for OCI to arrive in London. Any others with similar dispatch dates and have updates?

same boat, dispatched on 25th. its most likely arrived but not scanned in. if it arrived yesterday evening, it'll get scanned today. i would see today what happens.

you are risking your journey unless you have refundable ticket. These dates on the forum are indicative only and there is no guarantee. you might get it before you fly but nothing certain. If I were you, i still apply for visa by visiting VFS office today and if you explain your situation they might issue visa in a day on urgent basis. Again your call.

It is evident that it is taking approximately 7 weeks from acknowledgment. Plan accordingly.

anyone know if i can collect my sisters OCI? she's 25+ years of age.

can i collect an oci after 3 weeks after it has arrives?

also, what time to get there?

You need a proper authorisation letter, this is mentioned on consulate of Edinburgh website, see collection procedure from below link, I could not find such info on London website. But When I went to London office to collect my OCI, I asked the lady on the counter the same question can I collect OCI for someone else and she said yes with a authorisation letter. And yes you can collect it after 3 weeks.

I submitted mine to the Indian Consulate in Dubai. I plan to visit India end December. Dont want a last minute panic where i have to apply for visa. My friend applied in September a month earlier than i did and he got his OCI in 4.5 weeks.

It looks like October applications are getting delayed by extra 2 weeks than in September. If you are planning you should be allright. I applied in London on 22 October a week after these are my timelines:

Acknowledgement 22 oct
printing status/processed on 21 nov
dispatch from Delhi on 28 nov
received at London: waiting (expecting 2 december)

I have applied for OCI in London on 1st of October and my status still shows “UNDER PROCESS” and when I contacted OCI team via e-mail, they say that OCI sticker printing is in progress in Inida and they will update the status once they receive it. I am not sure how long it takes to print OCI sticker.
