Yes, I have sent email they replied saying this: "I have checked our records and can confirm that no decision has yet been made on your application." If I don't receive it until this Saturday I'll be sending another email or ring them next week.

I think I was very lucky to get the fees deducted so fast - and I mean so fast taking into consideration I was the first one in the forum post new English requirements.

I did send an email last week to check and call today, I believe if you get in touch with them one way or another, they at least look at your file. It worked in my case.

It is ridiculous to take UKBA to acknowledge my application.

Maybe we are still waiting due to country of origin. This issue was previously raised on this forum that timelines could be different based on where you come from.

One of my friend applied around 16th Sep and got his approval on 30th OCT he is Pakistani. For other two it took 3Months and 6Months. So I think it is more to do with the application route. For spouse of BC and EU applicants it is much quicker, for 10years, WP/Tier 2 its relatively quicker compare to Tier 1, HSMP applicants. Tier 1 and HSMP in some cases can take time.
These are just my observations and I am not sure if this will be of any help to you.

Hello Dr_me,
I think your observation is correct. But do you have any information why it takes more time for hsmp and tier 1 applicants? What I think it should be even more straight forward because a hsmp/tier1 applicant would have extended visa at least 3 times before going to naturalisation. So everything should be on their system. So what more checks they need to do? UKBA has a very good history of punishing HSMP/Tier-1 applicants by moving goal posts, introducing new criteria since very beginning and now taking more time to approve naturalisation...

Dr_me I completely agree with your observation. I am tracking applications on a spreadsheet and most of the quickest ones are EEA, Spouce or MN1 applications.
