Yes it should be straight forward but may be sometimes the checks can take time. However don't worry sooner or later we will surely be getting it.
Good luck everyone.

Hi Adi,

Have you contacted HO, I applied 16/10, and I am also waiting, getting impatient now. Good luck all.

I must mention that I am a Caribbean national, and my immigration route to ILR was due to 10 years residency, I had changed my name prior to applying for naturalisation, I am not sure if that is a factor to my application process being delayed, let's wait and see.

Email updates

Post by UKnow » Wed Dec 11, 2013 4:15 pm

Hello.. I have to disagree with the comment made about how it is faster to get approval for EU members, I am an EU spouse and applied on the 2nd of October. I sent email today to the nationality team and they first came back saying no decision was made. However, they wrote back again later the email below:

“Apologies, I have just spotted that your application has in fact been granted a decision and this has been despatched on the 9th December, the decision letter and any supporting documents should be with you shortly.

If you do not receive the decision within the next two weeks please contact us again.

I am unable to disclose the decision”

:D So fingers crossed it is an approval letter and not a rejection 

Straight forward applications get quick decisions...
My application straight forward but I still have been waiting since 56 days for the result!..
Did you send any email to HO?... i believe it shakes them a bit to see your application...
Yes, I have sent email they replied saying this: "I have checked our records and can confirm that no decision has yet been made on your application." If I don't receive it until this Saturday I'll be sending another email or ring them next week.
Please what contact telephone number can someone reach them (HO) on?
I have just had a job offer turned down because I am required to have Dual EU nationality or be a British citizen and at the moment I am neither. I pleaded with the employer and informed them I have a pending application with the home office. Emailed the home office on Sunday to explain my situation, but still no response from them.

So guys its very interesting how my account balance was dropped today because I found a new job within the NHS and I need to show my passport (originals) to show proof of identity. I phoned the croydon HO yesterday and requested my documents back online so today I checked and they have debited my account. So literally it took me to request my documents back for them to finally debit my account kmmmt

I remember the woman telling me yesterday that it may take another two weeks for them to still get through October applicants

Congrats UKnow! I've been following your timeline with interest as our paths have been very similar [we both went for EEA PR at the same time as well last year]. I have a bit longer to wait, but hoping for approval in January. Merry Christmas/Frohe Weihnachten
