time line

Post by Giritrah » Thu Nov 28, 2013 10:08 am

Hi There,
I am a silent viewer of this forum,my time line is as below,

25-09-13- Applied (wife and 2 year old boy) at Hyderabad VFS.
28-09-13-Forwarded to britsh high commission
26-11-13-"Application sent to application centre, wait till its ready for collection"
27-11-13-Ready for collection at VFS Hyd.
28-11-13- Passport collected Visa for 33 months on both passports.

As my son holds US nationality, there is no option of postage when a foreign passport is in the application , so it has to be collected in person.

total 63 days (44 working days till collection).

my wife missed to include an original document that we posted to Chennai last week on 20th,might be this triggered the process.

Thanks....... and good luck to all those awaiting passports

Hi,

My husband is in UK on ILR. We want to apply ILR dependent visa for me. I am currently working in India.

For the application there is a supporting document

"a letter from your employer on company headed paper – detailing your salary and the length of your employment, confirming that you have been given time off work, and stating whether this time off is paid or unpaid"

I want to resign and join my husband. In such a case I can't ask my company to give a letter "OFF WORK".

Can someone please let me know what sort of document from company should I be providing for the application?

Please advice if she SHOULD be applying only after resigning?

Regards,
Kala

If you husband is sponsoring , he has to show the documents, there is no need for you to provide such documents according to the financial requirement he is relying on (Appendix-2).
You just write in the covering letter that you intend to resign and join your spouse

Query

Post by globalindian » Wed Dec 11, 2013 11:32 am

Hi Juhi,

a) Can we email them any documents even if they have not asked for?
b) What time normally they sent the confirmation? Is it during the afternoon?
c) Did you have to go to the VFS center and collect the visa or have they couriered to you?

Regards

Hello global indian, no i we cannot send/ mail them any documents until they have asked for any.
Yes they usually send the decision sms at around 4-5 pm as per my experience.
No, i didnot go to collect but actually had opted for them to courier.
Hope this helps and yes all the best, may u get ur visa soon.

I applied for my wife's and two child settlement
visa on 22nd july 2013 at VFS Chennai and the
VFS tracking status still shows that the
application is under process. It has been more
than 100 working days and 148 non working days
now.
Please could the awaiting appplicants please
share share the dates and details as follows :
Date of application : 22nd july 2013
Applied at - VFS , Chennai
Application under process : 26th july 2013
Still waiting.......no response
Last month 30th october i have received email from british high commission for under paragraph listed below.i have meet income threshold requirement but i application put on hold.after i have sent further document to bhc chennai
Your applications for entry clearance under paragraph EC-P.1.1 of Appendix FM to the Immigration Rules have been considered. Your applications fall to be refused solely because you do not meet the income threshold requirement under Appendix FM and the related evidential requirements under Appendix FM-SE.
1. The letter from xxxxx company does not confirm what your sponsors designation is within the company nor his gross annual salary
2. The letter from yyyyyy company does not describe your sponsors gross annual salary
A decision on your applications has therefore been put on hold until the Courts have decided the outcome of the Secretary of State's appeal in a legal challenge to the income threshold requirement. More information about this hold on decisions is set out on the Home Office's Immigration website.
Your applications will be reviewed and a decision taken on them once the outcome of the legal challenge is known. This may not be for several months at least.
In the meantime, if you submit any further information or document(s), it must relate directly to the reasons given above as to why you do not meet the income threshold requirement. It must also relate only to your circumstances, and/or those of your sponsor, as they were at the date of your applications, or in the relevant period(s) prior to that date. If, on the basis of this further information or document(s), your applications meet all the requirements of the Immigration Rules, a decision will be taken on your applications.
Alternatively, you can withdraw your applications at any time (and any document(s) submitted with it will be returned to you) or you can pay the relevant application fees and make  fresh applications. You may wish to consider doing so for example if you wish to rely on a change in circumstances since the date of your applications or on the fact a requirement relating to a period of time (for example, in respect of employment or cash savings) is now met which was not met at the date of the applications. If you withdraw your applications, you will not be refunded the application fees.

It seems Chennai High Commission is really very quick - 38 working days for processing as per the latest timelines published.

Poor Delhi and Mumbai High Commission which was delivering in 38 working days is now taking 42 and 43 working days for processing settlement visa.

Hi All, I can confirm that ECM has now reverse the ECO refusal decision of wife's settlement visa application. She has now been asked to submit her passport for visa.

Many thanks for you help and prayers.

Advice Please!!!!!

Post by dan_vels » Thu Dec 19, 2013 4:34 pm

I have few doubts on settlement visa process/status, please advise:
1. If interview needed for Spouse visa, how VFS/British High Commission informs the Settlement visa applicant?
2. What will be the VFS online tracking status, if interview scheduled?

The reason I'm asking this is, applied for Settlement visa just 10 days ago and the VFS online status says "Processed application delivered to Blue Dart on 19/12/2013 AWB NO.: ".

Applicant's application schedule
--------------------------------------

Visa type: Settlement spouse visa for my wife
Date of online application submission: 06-Dec-2013
Date of application: 09-December-2013,
Applied at - VFS , Chennai,
Biometrics done
Application has been dispatched to BHC: 09-Dec-2013
Application under process at BHC: 14-December-2013
Processed application delivered to Blue Dart: 19-Dec-2013

They will either call you or email you.

My understanding is that your visa is processed. Based on the timelines mentioned above by sss123sss it seems Chennai is processing applications at a superfast rate. Unbelievable.

Good wishes my friend and hope you will get the good news tomorrow morning.

Processing timeline for weekending 20/12/2013

Post by globalindian » Fri Dec 20, 2013 11:43 pm

The recent processing timeline seems to show Chennai is the clear winner with Settlement visa processing timelines are 31 working days from 39 working days of last week. However from the forum it is understood that they are recently processing even within 5 -6 working days.

Mumbai seems to retain the same as last week with 42 working days.

Poor Delhi is lagging behind and displaying 45 working days.

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... sing-times

Has anybody got anything from Delhi high commission recently? please provide your timeline.

I can't believe myself, hats off to UKBA and VFS for such a quick processing of the Settlement visa. i.e., Just in 2 weeks time received the passport with Visa :D

For the fees they charge and multiple renewals (Minimum 2 renewals) expected for Spouse visa, I'm glad they started processing in jet pace :)

All the best for others here and thanks for everyone who contributes in this forum :)
