Registration as British Citizen

My daughter was born illegitimately in 2004 outside the Uk after her father received his ILR.
I have read a lot of conflicting information online in regards to children born before 2006 to a British/Settled father and I am beginning to wonder if he can register her a citizen in the MN1.
She does not reside in the Uk but will be coming there if this application is approved.

All and any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Settled father ( not British) and Child born overseas = Cannot be registered.

There is no conflicting information I am afraid. It is all very clear.
