BRP delivery

Post by helloChap » Wed Oct 30, 2013 12:32 am

Anybody whose visa granted last week, please let me know if you got your BRP card?
I got my visa granted through PEO, cardiff on 24th Oct but haven't received BRP card but need to travel on 1st Nov.

Also my visa application was made with a solictor as my representative in my application, so please let me know if my BRP will be delivered to my home address or my solictor's address. Since his address was mentioned in the visa grant paper that was given to me after my PEO appointment.
Thanks.

I was genuinely surprised how quickly the application was processed as I did not select PEO or priority service, and was worrying it will be refused because my job description and job code we selected did not match a great deal. Good Luck everyone!

* Company certified maintenance for me, also bear the costs for application using an immigration lawyer service. The lawyer handled all the form fill-up, CoS costs, payments and sending documents to UKBA on behalf of my company.

Note: I really am surprised. This was a normal postal application, no priority service used as I am yet to start working for the company. But then, the faster I get the paperwork, the sooner I can start working, the sooner government receives some taxes. Happy with this service, after reading all the horrible tales for the Tier 1 Entrep categories.

Tier2(Gen) priority application delayed due further checks

Post by Eagle123 » Tue Dec 03, 2013 4:58 pm

Hi guys,

I am switching from PSW to Tier 2 (General). I applied with the lawyer on 15.11 using priority service where Home Office usually considers the application in 10 working days. I received biometric letter on 21.11 and submited biometrics on 22.11. They were supposed to make decision the by 29.11, but my lawyer had not heard anything from them and had to follow up.

They got back to us with the following e-mail:

"Thank you for your client’s priority application. Once necessary further checks have been completed, we will be able to consider her application. I regret that we cannot do so until this has happened. I will keep you informed of progress.
Regards"

Have you heard about similar things? Do you know what these further checks mean? They have not been in touch neither with me no with my employer and lawyer. Since Friday we have not heard anything from them. According to my lawer there is on-line system where she can track the progress of my application and the status is the same as on the day they received my biometrics. It is really frustrating and I would appreciate any help/advice on the issue.

Thanks
