Place of Birth in British Passport

Post by fingerscrossed123 » Thu Jan 09, 2014 9:35 am

Hi Team,

I just received my first British Passport - just a question, should the "place of birth" section say the town or city you were born in PLUS the country. Mine just says the city (and there are cities of that name in other countries as well).

I assume they just have that further country information in the chip but I was curious what other people have in their passports.

Thanks!

:)

It only mentions the CITY name and does not include the COUNTRY information. That's how it is shown on my passport as well.
