Can you advise how to take interview appointment prior to letter
Thanks very much
By ringing the passport office and telling them your application reference number; which you get when you submit it at the post office

I sent my application on Tuesday the 29th of October via check and send. Still no text message of acknowledgement, nor HMPO was able to find and confirm that they have received such application when I asked by email and phone.

Should I panic?

Thanks Derivaz,

I think the IPS service is excellent. The interview was informal, and the lady was very chatty ( wanting to know more than they should though) lol. However, am glad the journey came to an end.

Getting a passport should be just a formality, it's a right you have as a citizen unless you have committed certain crimes; so shouldn't be a big deal ;)

Can you please post your query in a new thread under British Citizenship section.

Can mods/admin please move the posts to a new thread?

did you use the royal mail track system to check if they received it? they can't say they didn't if they did; it can be tracked.

Have you got any more feedback on your application?

No acknowledgement for Passport

Post by forbc123 » Sat Nov 16, 2013 2:08 pm

I have posted my passport application using check and send, on 13-11-2013
I have no idea what so ever whether it reached passport office or not
I have got some tracking sticker given by post office but that implies that no postage has been made

Is it strange to expect an acknowledgement today, 16-11 for application posted using check and send on 13th?

any ideas please?

Please can somebody confirm this information Unlike the Nationality team in the HO, the Passport Office doesn't accept GP as countersignatory if they have only known you as a patient.??Please.
I see that they charge 20 pounds for this service in my GP.
Someone use the GP FOR COUNTERSIGNATORY?

Hello Forum!!! I am going to apply my child british passport. Just my child got a british citizenship who born and lived in uk for 10 years category (T). But In a passport application form in section 3 HAVE YOU HAD OR BEEN INCLUDED ANY SORT OF PASSPORT BEFORE? IF YES MUST PROVIDE ANY SORT OF PASSPORT YOU HAVE. But in my child case, she have a passport but her passport is in with UKBA, because when we applied flr(0) application, our application was refused and ukba hold our passports. How can I send my child passports to them? can they write and explain to them, or photocopy of passport is accepted. Please help me out. Thank you.

You don't have to tick any boxes.

You don't have to provide grandparents' details if you have acquired citizenship through naturalisation.
