Again the general assumption is to wait for them to contact you and then take it from there, expect your acknowledgement which should come through within the next few days, then call on any number provided on the letter quoting your reference number, this I think is neater......my thought, lets hope Amber picks this up..Amber, whats your thought wrt underpayment, HO error?

My husband's application has been approved, his timeline is as follows:

eligibility criteria: 10 years long residence & 1 yr ILR
Date application sent: 14 October 2013 (Self - no NCS)
Received: 15 October 2013
Fee debited: 9 November 2013
Acknowledgement letter: 11 November 2013
Application Approved: dated 16 January 2014, received 17 January 2014
Ceremony date: awaiting letter

PS - I could not edit previous posts but got these dates roughly from the top of my head, only debit of fees or acknowledgement letter might differ slightly by a day or so.

Thanks to this forum for all your help and good luck to all those waiting.

If I'm not wrong, I think I've sighted 1 or 2 approvals for 24/10 but none for application received by the HO on 25/10.
Yes am one of the approvals for the 24/10. I sent mines on the 23/10 and HO received it on the 24/10 and I got the approval 11/1/14
dated 8/1/14. I wonder who is the other one because I cant find it
I'm the other one! My application was sent on 23/10 received by HO on 24/10, acknowledged on 13/12, approved on 10/01 and ceremony on 05/02.

@ Apple02, If no travel plans for now, just wait, if you are definitely due to travel soon, go for it (its not money wasted).

Hi all,
A quick question regarding the approval letter..

I know that everyone has been saying that the approval will come in a brown envelope. In my case, I have sent a self-addressed special delivery envelope for safe returning of my original passports, driving license etc., so will these be sent separately in the special delivery envelope whilst the approval comes in a brown envelope? or will they come together?

i have tracked the special delivery envelope but there are no signs of them despatching it yet...

Cheers,
km

KM,

You should receive everything in the silver envelope. I also sent a prepaid envelope and receive approval with all my documents, except my life in the uk certificate. I am now waiting to collect my citizen certificate on the 31/1/2014.
Good luck

Hi ALL,

This is not the section to conduct Q & A.

Take it to the relevant sections and leave this for just the TIMELINES as it should be.

5 weeks waiting for the fees. Only two more dates to be filled in. I think there is no hope for the documents processing and decision making before the holidays.

Finally the wait is over...feel so relieved. Only the ceremony left to be arranged, which will be on Monday.
Good luck to all still waiting!!!

Interim:
11/02/2012 Email received- still under consideration;
17/01/2012 Called HO yesterday and was told the applications are under consideration.
Both responses fall under the decision taken, however there was the usual answer. Do not rely on these responses.

To all those who applied in December, you should be expecting to have your fees taken from your account any time from now. How do I know? Today, I tried to log into my Barclays online account with the intention to transfer money to someone. After several failed attempts, I decided to phone my bank, and it did happen that they had frozen my card and could not use it. I asked why, and was told that there was an unusual attempt to make a huge payment of £874 to NCS on Friday, and that payment did not go through. I have never been so annoyed in my life. Anyway, to cut the long story short, I made my application on the 17th December 2013, and was not expecting money to be taken from my account until February. Will call and make payment via phone tomorrow. It looks like things are moving:)
