Chances for a job for Poles and Mexicans

Post by GabrielSmith » Thu Jan 16, 2014 8:52 pm

Greetings. I'd like to ask you good people, what chances me and my gf have for successful life in UK. We both know language well ( not perfect though), we both are educated. I will have a master degree in a few months, from public university in Poland. She is Mexican, working as a teacher in primary school (3 +2 years of education in the subject, not a master degree though). I know there's no problems for polish to live in UK, I'm not sure about Mexicans. And how about the job? I've heard some opinions, not sure what to believe in.

I will be grateful for honest answers.
Regards
Gabriel

Not yet, but this is the plan - to find some middle ground - a country where we both can communicate with people, and have a decent jobs and live together.

It's not possible unless you can prove a 'durable relationship' which to the UK (and most places) is 24 months provable cohabitation.

Thank you for answer, but what is not possible? for Mexican to live in the UK? I know it's totally possible for me. What if we were married?

In your case, it's not possible for him to live in UK as your unmarried partner as you have no provable history of a serious relationship, which means cohabitation.

Marriage is different, show you have commitment to each other. So that plan for that is;

1. You move to UK

2. You marry

3. He comes to UK as your husband under a EEA Family Permit application

Or;

1. You marry in your country or his

2. You apply for a spouse visa under you home countries rules

3. He joins you in your country as your husband

4. You both move to UK.
