October 2013 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

It's strange that no one has updated his/her status and indeed it's very quite. I m too still waiting.

My guess (hope?) is that the same thing might be happening that we saw a few days before Christmas. The HO hardly sent out any approvals for 2-3 days then they shipped a whole bunch at the same time and we had about 12 people post approval on the same day.

I hope this will be the case. However apart from approvals no one even answers my yesterday's question on approval letter so at the end I deleted it
There are very few 25oct approvals in the sticky thread though. Only 2 or 3 but their fee was deducted on 17th dec.

In my opinion most of 25th Oct applicants who's fee were deducted on 20th dec might have had their applications looked at/approved by now. It's just waiting to hear from them.

My application was made on 25th but they took the fee only on the 10th of January!

Some of post 25 oct applicants got their approvals in 5days of deduction of fee.

first of all i want to thank my god because this was my second time applying,in 2011 my application was not successful and i was told to wait till 2015 so i can apply again as i was found guilty for driving whilst disqualified in 2010. and this year i had a serious trouble with the jobcenter for going university for 3years without letting them know anything about it. in my head i knew that's it i will never be British. but god had another plan for me. now i am British ceremony next week Wednesday the 29th. good luck to you all that's still waiting for that brown envelop you will get it sooner than you think and thank you all for update on what was happening. useless HO number and email i called them on the 21-01-2014 and emailed them on 22-01-2014 and this is what was said"
I have checked our records and can confirm that no decision has yet been made on your application" phone and email but the letter the date its the 15-01-2014

Congratulations ukmigrant2011 did you receive invitation letter to book ceremony or just the letter stating your application is approved? I just wanted to know what type of letter one should expect when applied through NCS.

I received the letter with the content " I am pleased to tell you that this application for British Citizenship has been approved. To complete the process of becoming a British Citizen, you will need to attend a citizenship ceremony to receive your certificate. In the ceremony you will take an Oath of Affirmation of allegiance to the Crown and a Pledge of loyalty to the UK. This is a formal promise to Her Majesty the Queen and the United Kingdom"...

It says to contact the local authority and book the ceremony .

Yes dr_me2 I hope you receive yours very soon because i swear people in early november are getting their approvals now. @ukmigrant my letter said your not to contact your council until they have sent you a letter stating your invitation

5 years spouse of BC + 4 months ILR
Delivery method:royal mail on the 23rd october
Recieved on 24th october
Fee deducted on the 17 december
A letter recieved on the the 23rd december dated 17th december
Approval letter recieved on the 25th january dated 23rd january
Ceremony : TBC

What's happening as per approvals?

hi all
i applied on the 25/10, fee debited on the 07/01 and acknowledgement on the 10/01 and even now no approval.
where are the approvals for late October.

It looks like things have slowed up a little bit

Yes indeed things looks moving very slowly. I have compiled a list for NCS vs Postal applications focusing on late OCt applicants. It was posted earlier this evening however I thought since people may have a confusion reading it so deleted it. However those who have seen it if interested I will repost it.

Approval Letter received Date
Application Method
And time it took to get the approval in the following layout;
Deduction of fee to actual letter date (Number of days)
Actual letter date to Receipt of approval date (Number of days)
Time between date of debit of fee to receipt of approval letter (Number of days)
The next columns week1,2,3 represents the same in weeks (7days per weeks not just working days).
One can estimate approx. where he/she is in terms of approval.
It is based on feedback from others. I have just compiled it Any comments to improve will be appreciated.
NOTE: the information of actual approval date (3 dark Orange boxes) for postal applications are just estimated as it was not provided in the original post.

Here is weekly summary for Oct - 2013 applicants:
These charts are based on data extracted on 27th Jan 2014 (Not end of day of-course). Must to mention!!! Big thank to jotter for helping on data for these charts.

It's interesting that there ain't many posts for timeline chart between this week & last week. It says it all as how quiet whole week was on approvals front. Looks like HO is clearing payment backlog to make it to current date. (Understandable... it's ££££££)
