PS-NCS informed me that due to back log from October wemay have to wait 6 months for a decision. :(
Surprise! Surprise!
The fee has been debited from my account last night and I got it confirmed from my bank that the funds are cleared for home office.

Good luck to everyone!

Guys just update, ukba for some reason didn't take money even though my CC company approved it. My CC customer service confirmed that ukba attempted to take money on 23rd January and CC company approved it. So, anyone in same boat as me ? I will wait for acknowledgement for couple days , if not received then I will call ukba for update.

Is the drop in your available balance still there, or has it been reversed back out?

Did you get a letter from UKBA acknowledging the payment?

Hey Kiranchinnu, are you with Santander by any chance? As you pointed out, exact same thing happened to me, and the date of the incidents are identical.

Hi Soniaa84 and TTOE,

after my application I asked NCS lady how long it can take for a decision, she said up to 8 (then she went inside and I thought may be 8 weeks. loll). I asked her again and she said 8 months due to heavy back log of previous applications. I told her that I have booked a long holiday to India in August and she replied by that time I will be allocated a case worker.

Now guys, do you think NCS got proper information from HO or they just assume timeline on their own?

Does anyone have a rough idea that how long it normally takes for approval after fees deduction?

My thoughts: the general assumption is that you normally get the HO final decision within a month! after fees deduction until recently.....this has been proven to be untrue based on late Oct 2013 cases, refer to the Oct 2013 timeline tracker for more useful info.

Agree, however, i thought the OCT rush is cleared now, hence Jan payments are already being taken.

So friends lets hope that all Oct applicants will be sorted by the end of this month maximum by 1st week of Feb
Are you kidding us?! April or beyond....

Anyway we thought so with fees deduction some few weeks back but the HO decided to disappoint us, let's pray they disappoint that someone that said so in this instance as well :D

Fee payment update: Confirmation of fee debit on 29 January, transaction date 27 January.

I have updated my timeline in the January 2014 topic (here) and the main naturalisation topic (here).
