OCI Postal Application processing step

Hi,

I made a OCI Postal application and sent my documents to HCI London.
The current online status says

Date Of Acknowledgment 08-JAN-2014
Registration Status at Mission LONDON
Documents Printing Status UNDER-PROCESS

Can any please tell me What are following step i need to perform....like what is the next expected status and do i need to send my british passport for stamping...etc

and also what are expected time line for OCI Postal applications

You don't need to do anything at present, just sit and wait.

The next expected status will be that the documents have been printed, dispatched and returned. At that point you can send your passport to the embassy and have it stamped. I applied in Dec '13 and had the afore-mentioned process completed in 4 weeks approx. Yours should be no different, unless there are any discrepancies.

I have yet to send my passport to have it stamped as the whole procedure was changed a couple of weeks ago and found out through this forum. Check the first sticky at the top of this section and you will see what other people have to say.

Do you mind letting me know the date you posted the application ?

I applied on 6th and application received by the high commission London on 7th January. Been checking the status but nothing appeared yet.

Thanks for the update. So I can expect some movement this week going by the 3 weeks lag.

Had to apply by post as the day I went to hci around 200 people in the queue.

Due to the information provided on the websites relating to OCI application being utterly unhelpful and unclear I have resorted to find some advice on these forums.

I am wondering whether a) it is best to apply to the CGI Birmingham or B) in London?

Which one has a better turnaround time and/or is easier to deal with?

Also, I am sending my application through post for myself and my son ( who I am applying for on the basis of having one parent of Indian origin) and was wondering if anyone would please post a detailed document check-list for my case.
