Visa Status of Children if Parent Visa Status Change

Hi. My wife and children were on FLR(M) dependent visa. My wife visa has been changed to ILR. Children are still on the previous visa ( valid till 31/03/2014) however I have submitted their application for naturalization. Can anyone let me know if children visa is valid for them to travel overseas AND return to UK before 31/03/2014? There is a family emergency for which travel is required and we don't know if homeoffice will complete children naturalization application in time

I wasn't sure if this is the right forum to put this question, happy to be redirected
