i applied with dla and esa my dla was enough to meet the financial requirement my dla i get is £537.60 a month i submitted 6 bank statement but i didnt needed to submit six month bank one was f9 it was stupid solicitor giving me the wrong information how much dla do you receive and how much bank statement did you put.

thank you
I am on the high rate of DLA as well and presume I get the same amount. I was told that if I work part time it would help my case. My solicitor said that we had to show that I had £112 left over every week without access to public funds. I gave 3 months bank statements and 1 wage slip, solicitor said that should be enough as I just started work. Not sure what's going to happen. I think they may ask for more wage slips and additional bank statements if anything, because I think all the other paperwork was fine.

I see by your timeline that you've been waiting quite a while. Have you contacted BHC or anyone else, any news at all?

kashmir munda

i get high rate you need £112.55 a week after rent i don't pay any rent cuz housing benefit pays my rent and if i had started work my then i would paid rent which £93.00 a week cuz i live in a council flat you can apply for further benefits from last year all benefits counted towards maintence we are entitled to these benefits bhc dont look at the case wheather sponsor is getting public funds its about wheather your gona apply for further public funds if your spouse comes to join you i submitted no work 6 months bank statement but you only need one and i am sorry to say but these solictors talk shit they dont know jack all if you were getting high rate dla you could applied for esa too because you were entitle i provided medical letter and i contacted them on numerous occassion but the keep routine enquiries so with dla cases they take long anyway.

Hi All,

I'm on ILR in the UK and wife is going to apply for spousal visa from Pakistan (Islamabad) very soon. I just read on UKBA website under Visa Processing Times that;
We will process 95 per cent of settlement applications within 12 weeks and 100 per cent within 24 weeks of the application date
So 3 months is what it should take for most applications. Also, they have just produced data from December' 2013 which almost confirms this claim.
Capture.JPG
Capture.JPG (28.08 KiB) Viewed 1160 times
Seems like 73% of the applications (yes its not 95% but still a good number) were given decision on within 90 days (which is 12 weeks or 3 months)

Reading the comments above from fellow bros and sis's, it seems like its taking way longer in reality than what it says on the website.

Can anyone please comment if it is really true that most applications are given decision in 3 months or is it just a claim that is not real?

Regards,
Oace

Hi Oace,

90 working days is not 3 months, it works out to be more and I think that is where a vast majority of applicants get confused. There are 20 working days in 1 month, so 90 working days works out to be roughly 4 months and 2 weeks. I hope that helps people understand there timelines better and understand what the BHC mean.

I applied on 21/10/2013, 90 working days for me will be on 27/02/2014

Nope normal employed. I am on hold n after submitting further documents they still didnt accept hence i've just been left hanging now really. Reason for hold is due them claiming my wage slips werent continuous as i had a 1 month gap when i went to pakistan.

Alwayshope I would go into the DHL office in ur area. It will cost u about 34.99 for A4 docs. If you tell me where u live ill get you the DHL office closest to ur town.

Can I ask you what address it states on the letter to send it to the BHC?

Did they provide you with a specific department and ref number too, if so if you could share the department details and address that would be great!

Jazakallah sister

To Tagb2000

Thanks does service point mean this is the place where i can post from. The nearest to my area is in WHSmith, does that sound right to you?

The address on letter states;

International Operations and Visas
British High Commission
Diplomatic Enclave
Ramna 5
PO Box 1122
Islamabad
Pakistan

How much days would they recieve my documents in and would it be better sending to my husband you think? or direct to British High Commission?

Sorry for all the questions lol, first time im thinking of using this service

To Salimkk

You need to keep the money in your account through out the whole visa application process, just encase they contact your bank to confirm is the money still there. As they do sometimes make checks.
