Indian Govt proposal to scrap PIO & OCI to new Card

Post by sojan » Sat Feb 08, 2014 1:40 pm

I was bit shocked to see this. I can't think they will ask to pay another £150 to apply another card.
Economic Times article

The Bill, dubbed amendment to Citizenship Act, has already been passed by the Rajya Sabha and is likely to come up before the Lok Sabha for passage in the current parliament session.

What does this mean ?

do we have to apply for a new card? OIC

or will we continue to hold PIO & the law changes to bring it in par to oci?

Any ideas?
