I was of the view that there is a queue system in place but after four continuous months I agree that it does not appear to be the case.
I would rate all the factors as followings;
1-luck
2-Route of application e.g work permit,spouse,EAA etc
3- Nationality (I think another important factor)
4-mode of application (NCS or Post)
Postal applicants gets their letter quicker than NCS (doesn't matter as long as it is approved : :wink: )
So friends let's pray that it will all be over. The last and final process for which people have spend years after years will end up quickly so that they can plan ahead without anything to worry about.
it means I am not alone in Boat

My Mrs also received similar envelop too but in her case, she will be paying less :lol: and I have also heard about people who received mails from HMRC shortly before their approval arrives, so kind of good sign that. HO has sent queries about you to HMRC thats what that means. My thought.

HMRC can review files for up to 7 years, if I remember correctly.

Just Wondering, yes, kind of.

@shak80 - don't worry too much about it, these payments are normally spread out so as not to impact you too much. again that should not impact the HO decision though. Just Wondering, what do you think?

Non-payment of tax is a grounds for refusal but it depends on the circumstances and whether it was deliberate or not. If it was an innocent mistake where the applicant was on the wrong tax code (e.g. the employer supplied the wrong info) then it's probably not an issue. However, if the applicant for some reason was dishonest or deceptive (e.g. ticking it was his only job on a P46 form when it was his second job) then it might be an issue.

Sounds like it was (and HMRC is treating it as) an innocent mistakes, so whilst it could have caused some issues, it doesn't sound like it will.

Hi guys, lol I was also the director of both companies with different account , ( both companies was runing with different partners ) , in dec 13 I also received a underpaid tax for year 2012 so I straight away paid that, but I paid every single pence to them, I am not the accountancy person. That why my account is doing all this on behalf of my company.
I paid hell of amount to them in last 4 years, :(
Hope for best :(

It will be nice if we post the details of all those waiting in the following format:

Mine is as following;

Just three lines nothing more to see the average waiting time for late Oct applicants and to see the actual numbers still waiting. Thanks.

Please don't quote this post just copy and paste the above to make further posts simple.

Looking at the above and November approvals it seems that the situation is sort of reversed for oct applicants (more people at HO seemed working on November onwards that is why it is taking longer for oct applicants. Yet again just to make ourselves at ease I think the bar needs changing from 6-7 weeks to 8weeks or perhaps 8-12weeks.
Hope to see more approvals in this week. Good luck everyone. :)
