10 Year long residence spouse

Post by anas123456789 » Thu Jan 16, 2014 3:05 pm

Hello

i am applying for my ILR based on 10 year LR basis this august. currently i am on student visa and i will complete my 10 years this august. i have a quick question regarding my spouse.

she came to uk as my dependent (student visa) in Jan 2013 and her visa is expiring in Nov 2014. I know that i will apply for my ILR in august but how should i make sure that my spouse stays with me beyond november when her visa will expire? what options does she have in order to stay legally in UK? I understand that dependents are not allowed in 10 year LR applications. Please advise

She will need to switch to FLR(M) before her leaves expires.

we applied for PSW visa on Dec 2011 but were granted PSW on 6 Aug 2012. Now, I wish to know that would my wife(spouse) qualify fosr pre 9 July 2012 PBS or not.
I am waiting for my ILR based on Long Residence in UK. but would she qualify under old (pre 9 July 2012) rules of low income req and 2 years to get ILR.
I am thinking to apply for ILR based on the 2 years she will spend till 6 Aug 2014 as PSW dependent using SET(M) form.
Can someone help.
