Hi Sam,
Thanks for your response mate. My situation is, I submitted my application as joint (with wife- me being a main applicant in previous applications/extension). My MS is from UK, so Language requirement doesn't apply on me (presumably) but wife's degree was from Pakistan. You know usual Computer Sciences, 4 years programme from well reputable Uni (NED Karachi). Also, it appears in the list of PBS calculator. Moreover, I attached NARIC letter confirming that course was taught in English but (really AMAZINGLY) doesnt meet C1 criteria :| (which is only 4.5 - 6.5 I think). My timelines are below. I called them yesterday and they confirmed that it is still in progress.

Your case was sorted really swiftly. Do you think mine is taking little longer than average due to joint application?
note: all my previous applications have been really smooth.

Comments from other members are very welcome !! :)

Eligibility criteria: 2 yrs HSMP + 3 yrs Tier 1 + 1 yr ILR
Application type: Joint with Mrs
Language criteria: My degree from UK. Wife's: letter from NARIC and validated in PBS
Date of application: 01/11/2013
Aplied through: NCS Newbury
Date of receipt by UKBA: 05/11/2013 (Tracked through reference number provided by NCS Newbury)
Date of debit of fees: 10/01/2014
Date of acknowledgement letter: 10/01/2014
Date of approval: Awaiting
Date of Ceremony: Awaiting

Updates:
13-02-14 - Spoke to HO advisor who confirmed application is still under process.

sam800 wrote:Hi rishahid,

1-Yes, degrees were done in India. I had submitted copies of both Bachelor's degree as well as my Master's degree.
2-No, did not validate with NARIC nor confirm if it meets C1 criteria ( I had read on this forum but on a different KOLL topic that home office people were saying if UKBA site's PBS evaluation comes out to the required points, that would be sufficient, so I tried that route)
3-Sorry, not sure what details you require here other than what I have already mentioned in that post - "printout of Points Based assessment (PBS) from UKBA website for my Indian degrees and photocopies of my degree certificates" ...

Best of luck on your application,
sam
rishahid wrote:Hello Sam800,
it seems like your application has been successfully processed now. Congrats.
Could you please confirm:
1- Was your degree from India (and was it Bachelors or Masters)
2- if yes, did you validate your degree from NARIC? Did they confirm if it meets C1 criteria?
3- Which documents (exactly) did you send them as part 2 when requested?

I am in a similar situation with my wife :s. Her degree is not from UK and I have submitted our application as joint.

kind regards,

Thanks Mate, I did as well, so I'm hopeful I should get mine tomorrow. Any idea when your delivery became visible on Royal mail trace & track site?

Just last night. I also checked during the day, so I'm pretty sure they don't get put into the Royal Mail system until after office hours.

This forum has been very helpful. Thank you to everyone. I was expecting Dec 2013 applications to have their fees debited early February 2014. Seems that the HO is now catching up after the huge backlog of previous weeks. I am now praying for the next steps. Good luck to everyone.
