Only got my child british passport

Hello Forum!!!! I got my child british passport today, but they didn't send back my child british citizenship certificate. Does passport office keep british citizenship certificate? or They will send later. Usually I have seen in the forum documents come first and passport come later. Please anyone comment on this. Many thanks.

No. They should return original documents.

I think they would be sent by two different department. If you have not asked for return of document by special delivery, it might come a little bit later.
