No it's not enough you need minimum 6 joint proof letters or 6 of each (12 letters from different source) on the same address for last 24 months

1. If you're applying as a PBS dep it's SET(O) not SET(M), your spouse/akin will have to settled as a PBS applicant.

2. You only need cohabitation proof since your last extension up to a max. Of 2 years. What you have seems fine so long as it covers the period in question reasonably, it's not as strict as that for SET(M).

Hi

I am also apply for my wife on SET (M) next week. Our last extension was for T1 Gen in Feb 2013 (Now I have got ILR). So means do I need to show documents for only 1 year (Feb 13 to Feb 14)?? And is it same for SET (O) and FLR (M) as well??

Also at PEO do they ask for application forms and documents photocopies??

Lastly my wife passport is expiring next month. Do u think there could be any problem???

Your help is much appreciated

Regards

It depends whether you're applying for SET(O) or SET(M).

Really? Were you granted ILR as a pbs applicant? When was your spouse initially granted PBS dep leave? You need to be sure rather than probably, you've mentioned 3 different applications in the same paragraph :?

Well I will try to skip FLR (M) at peo if possible (it does work some time). I am on ILR (long residence) and she joined me in 2009 as PBS Dependent (Post Study Work - Dependent).

You can try but I'll suspect you'll be refused and told to complete FLR(M) take both forms completed.

Yes I have filled both forms.

Additionally I will keep SET (O) as well. I know it is not relevant in our case but your never know as in one of previous post a guy was asked to fill SET (O) rather than SET (M).

One more point. I have already paid for SET (M). Before giving them form (SET M) I explain to them and If suppose they refuse to process SET (M) at the first place and ask for FLR (M) what will happen about fee. Will the hold the fee for my next application and request an other fee for FLR (M) or will they offer excess refund because FLR (M) fee is less than SET (M)

Up to the caseworker, more than likely a partial refund

I will update next week (hopefully positive news) or otherwise.

Again do you think that validity of my wife passport (expiring next month) could create any problem??

For SET(O), since the last extension, up to a max. 2 years, supply a letter each, if none joint, for every 4 months.

You should supply cohabitation proof, and the latest 3 months wage slips and corresponding bank statements, you can include an absence list if you so desire. LIUK required in addition to B1 English.

Amber. Good got a good news for your and every one. read below

Hi all,

First a of all I would like to thank all the seniors for their wonderful support and information sharing, I just would like to share my experience just an hour ago about my wife application at Sheffield PEO for ILR. It is very beneficial specially for those people who have got ILR under 10 years rule and their spouses are willing to apply for indefinite.

arrive at PEO at 0735

Application taken at 0800

biometric done at 0850

decision at 0900

Its was very quick and I am really impressed with Sheffield PEO. It is my second experience with them.

Brief Summary:
I got ILR in 3rd week of Feb 2014 under 10 years rule.

Wife joined me in Oct 2009 as dependent of PBS (post study work) then T1 Dependent. Visa valid till 2016.

Document submitted:
Set M application
Photographs
4 months bank statements + payslips + employer letter for myself
4 months bank statements + payslips + Accountant letter that she works at my own limited company.
Marriage certificate
Life in the UK test
Trinity College B1 (Grade 5) listening and speaking certificate
Cohabitation documents (some in joint names but rest on sole name) covering last 2 years

I did prepare FLR (M) and tried to explain after giving all my document to lady at counter but she said that if there is any problem then case worker will let us know.

So in a nutshell try luck by giving SET (M) if spouse is her before 9th July 2012 on PBS route dependent and her/his visa is still valid. This is first hand experience just an hour ago.

If any one need any information please send me private message.
