Business bank account

Hi all,

Urgent help required. I have been trying to open a business bank account but the my visa is expiring on 26th March 2014. The bank is saying that they need at least 6 months of visa to open a business account. I am on PSW transferring to Tier 1 ent.

My question
What should i do know?
and
If I can apply for my visa without opening a business bank account. Is the business bank account really required for the visa?

It is not required, but it is one the thing in the list of application to proof geniuness of your business. So i will recommend you to try to open business account with a bank where u already have current account, as in my case bank did not check my ID as i was his current customer. So you can try this way or try to open in other banks TSB is easy option.

try Barclay they don't ask for visa they can open you account and you can send welcome letter,

Is the cash plus business account acceptable for tier 1 ent? I applied and they said my cash plus business account card will be send to my address within 3-5 working days.

My question is?

How will I show to home office that I hold a business account?

I'm afraid mycashplus is not registered as a bank. They are providing their banking services with help from Co-operative Bank which is registered. But I think , statements for UKBA must show then Co-operative logo not mycashplus. you maybe have to ask before apply

I'm not sure what you have to do. Same thing happened to me before I applied for the visa , I tried ,Metro bank , they required for a minimum 6 months, I tried Lloyds (edgware road branch in London) , they required minimum 3 months, my visa at that time was only 2 months before expire. I tried Santander , they rejected my application. HSBC no available appointment to open the account before 1 month.

So ,at the end, I applied without a business bank account and I'm waiting the interview.

mycashplus is registered and UKBA will accepted this bank it is in FSA list.
and why you guys are not going for Barclay bank, they don't ask for visa if you visa has one day left they are fine, just tell them u are applying for tier 1 entrepreneur visa, they will open up i have done that.

2) I have registered the business but not received my directors report
3) How do I register with HMRC for tax

It looks like you are director of company.
So if you register company, you do not receive HMRC welcome letter at all(u do receive CT41G).
You need to phone company house and pay 3 pounds to get director appointments report, do not use online print.
The day you register ur company, ur company automatically get register with hmrc and UTR is automatically created. You can request it by phoning to corporation tax office, i am assuming u selected that ur company is activitally trading when u registered ur company, u can double check it when u will phone to corporation tax office.

I thought to share this

If your are already an existing customer of NatWest bank they will open your business account on the telephone without asking for any sort of documentation.

My business bank is open now.

Please try if you have NatWest current account or any account.

Try barclays, they didn't ask me about visa. I got 2 months left at that time. I was an existing barclays customer.
