I'm a UK citizen married to a US citizen currently getting all our paperwork together to proceed with our marriage visa application. The only area where I have any concern is with finance. Specifically my personal bank statements.
I had two jobs and I was recently (Jan) made redundant from my day job leaving only my night work from which I get around £60 per week. I've also had a lot of time off due to travelling to and from the states to see my wife and so my bank balance has been consistently in the red by around £400. My overdraft limit being £600. That is until this month, which will be my most recently statement which will be up by £300.
I am also including both a letter of employment from my night work and a letter of employment from a full time day job that I will be starting in the coming weeks on a 6 month contract. I claim no benifits.
I know that if this was the only means of support the application would most likely be rejected. However my wife will have a few thousand saved in bulk for the journey and my parents with whom we will be living (it is a family home and we will be living together for the foreseeable future) have written a letter explaining that my wife will never be responsible for rent, any household bills or food during her entire stay and will be supported in any other way necessary. Along with this they have included their personal bank statements and P60 showing yearly earnings leaving a few thousand in the bank every month.
My mother has also included a job offer contingent on her acceptance offering her 30 hours per week work which she is able to begin as soon as she arrives.
From your experiences, what do you think our chances are on getting through the finance section of the application?
Also, do these bank statements need to be sent in full or only the front page detailing money in and money out?
Thanks for any help or advice anyone can provide.
