Pre Settle Status

Hi friends,

I am non EU national and i have got UK resident card in March 2017. My wife is EU national.
My resident card is valid till March 2022. I have few question if someone can please help and advise me on below?

1: Do i need to apply for Pre Settle status as my current RC expiring in 2022?
Yes , you have until 31 December 2020 if UK will leave without a deal. Or 30 June 2021 if UK will have a deal so yes you have to apply . You will still be able to use your card what you will get its online status.

2: Do i need to send any physical document i.e Passport, UK RC, etc once i apply online through the app?
You can apply through the app by scanning your biometric residence card

3: As i have got valid UK RC, Does it sounds like i apply for the new/fresh RC as it makes me feel so nervous and afraid to get refuse (even me and my wife is currently working full time non stop since 2 years)
As I know there is no refusal everyone accepted unless they committed serious crime as home office stated in their website or breaking the immigration law !

4: My wife is living in the UK since Aug 2014. Can we both apply at the same time? (Me - Pre settle status and my wife - Settle status) ? Yes you can apply together or if you want you get your status without delaying she can apply first and after she get her status granted you apply after her

Just a quick question, As i said my UK RC is expiring in MArch 2022 and if apply for Pre Settle status by now. Will i be able to apply for settle status in March 2022

If you already have a residence card it will not be valid after 31 December 2020.
