It all depends upon who can gain more points from the laid criteria...i wud suggest any of you who have can gain more on work experience should be the primary applicant as work exp part is more dodgy...and also which one of you can obtain a better work experience letter with all requirements as stated by HO....
others points are pretty straight forward i mean education, age, partner's achievement...
you might have enough proof for the marraige...they at times does not accepy obvious proof...
all said and done it's just entirely up to you basis the paperwork...

Thanks for replying!

Here I am able to get good points
Education: Masters
Work Experience: 8years in IT [ so planning for 5years one]
Salary: Easily passing thru.
Partner's achivement: OK [10points]

In case of my husband: He has already had lot of visits to UK on work permit. And right now he is in UK only on work permit and About his points:
Education: Masters
Work Experience: 9years in IT
Salary: ITS ON THRESHOLD BASED ON POUND RATE
Partner's achivement: OK [10points]

Now my queries are:
1. Can i show him as specialized role? Already having 9yrs of gud exp and he has been consulting lot of critical projects. So that we won't be depend on salary points?

2. Who shud be treated as Primary applicant? If we try to achieve 35 points in work exp or else?

3. Very critical point...:) He is already there in UK on work permit thru some company. And i have also got Dependent Visa and going to visit him in Aug'06. So kindly suggest should we both file HSMP as IN-COUNTRY??
Or what should be do??QUite confused..Any guidelines for this??

Thanks in advance

Ok...you fairly have a similar case like mine but i aaplied as primary applicant as i wanted to have an age benifit (5 points)...
You didn't told me that who have the better drafted experience letter saying it's a grduate level job...it's very important....
i guess both of you have the similar work exp...if it's fairly easy to pose a specialist experience for your husband then go for that...should be clearly evident from the work experience letter...and if not then i wud suggest you should go for it as u have the salary benifit....
i don't know about filing it frm UK or outside...but still I would prefer from outside UK b'coz may be if u do it for ur husband his emplyer might have probs if he converts it from WP to HSMP...don't know clearly...dpends also till what time he is in UK....

Thanks for quick reply

We both can get well drafted certificate that's not a problem.

One more things, What are the extra documents will be needed for specialized role? Is experience certificate enough or do we have to show any things else also?but what that i really don't know:(

Can i show that his three visits in last one year [ and infact frequent visit to onsite] are to support critical projects and needed specialized role for the same?? Blah-blah and get it sign by his employer??

Yes I guess then you can go on for him and in my case i really did not went for additional documentation but i pointed out one of the duties on my work experience certificate and claimed it to be specialized duties and then ofcourse u can just go on and on on your covering letter explaining them why u feel this duty or visit to be specialized but just make sure that u have enough points and even if they do not agree (which is totally on their discretion) u still have that 35 points....how many points are u claiming...
and i m sure he can get ur points (10) but just give enough details for the marraige proof as i have seen cases where they have rejected them saying a marraige certificate is not the only proof....

Thank a lot Ashekt,

I am able to achieve 85 points[25[edu]+25[work]+25[sal]+10[partner].

Bt for my hubby, sal is bit on threshold side[considering pound rate]

But point wise same as above. SO i thought better to be on safer side if i can claim specialized also.Kinda job already doing, so why not.

Anyways thanks a lot. I will do some more home work thn probably ping u again.

Thanks,
