Prior to attending the Biometric appointment found error in my PBS Dependant visa application

Post by Pri2021 » Sat Dec 11, 2021 1:18 am

HI All,
Hope you're well.

I'd applied for the PBS dependant visa for my husband(my application for a Skilled Worker visa is currently being processed). Please note that my sponsor is providing maintenance for me and my dependants.

Four days prior to his Biometrics appointment I found that I had filled this question:
"Are you relying for evidence from someone else to prove your financial circumstances" as "Yes" and for the "Third party declaration" I have ended up filling my details. I'm not a third party, so this was a big mistake. Hence I immediately cancelled the visa application form.

I received an email saying "You will receive an email when a decision is made, telling you whether your request has been successful". How long can it take for this decision to arrive so that I can make another application for him.

Would sincerely appreciate any help with this. Thanking you in advance.

Can anyone please help me with any information that you might have in this regard. Or guide me if I've to write this question in a different forum (& not here).

Thank you in advance.

You may re-apply straightaway. The new application will replace the old one even if it hadn't been withdrawn.

Thank you, for the response.

Just worried that since the payments are already done and there's not been any confirmation on the refunds yet. Would it not be a conflict having an account that's up for cancellation and then another active application? - Thus, probably not getting my refunds or not allowing me to progress with the new application, thus rejecting the application altogether. Sorry, just being supremely frantic.

Dear All,
Just updating my current status with respect to application, so that anyone else facing the same problem will know what to do.

We've gone ahead with a new application for my husband. Although the only update I've had so far from the UKVI is:
"You have submitted a request for a visa application refund. You will receive an email when a decision is made, telling you whether your request has been successful.

If your request is successful, your money will be returned in the next 28 days. Your refund will be made to the same account you used when you paid for your application."

Waited for a week to see if I'll receive an email about their decision, but in vain. Meanwhile, had to go with the reapplication today, cause my son's visa application has been stalled due to this cancellation.
