Processing times for an emergency situation- Family visa

Post by Pierrot95 » Sun Dec 01, 2024 2:58 pm

Hi all,
My friend is on the 10 years road family visa. Her visa expired a few weeks ago, and she had a fees waiver granted and applied for her visa renewal; Now her dad passed away and her lawyer submitted her dad's death certificate to the home office for them to process her application as soon as possible to allow my friends to travel abroad for her dad funeral. Has anyone been in this situation before and can advice how long it might take for the home office to process the application.

Not sure the HO are that sympathetic. It would take as long as it takes.

Look at the factors involved; 10 year path, fee waiver, and now expecting expedited response. The lawyer can say whatever he/she likes and the HO does whatever it also likes.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!
