Processing Times for UK Tourist Visa (urgent)

Post by slickvicky » Thu Dec 11, 2008 2:52 am

Hi,
I am a student in the USA on an F1 Visa. I want to travel to UK to visit a friend and have applied using the online forms on the website. My appointment for biometrics is on the 13th of Dec at the New York Brooklyn office. My flight is on the morning of the 18th.

I wanted to know:
1. How much time would it take for me to get my passport back after the appointment?

2. Which all supporting documents should I send along with the printed application?

I have tried to look for this information on the official and non-official websites, but have not been able to do so.

Can anyone help me out with this information?

Thanks,
Vicky

It might depend on your nationality...which is? 13th Dec is a Saturday, is it not?

It is Indian. Does that make it more difficult? Apparently the Brooklyn office is open on Saturdays.
Thanks.

Your nationality will make no difference at all. The issue should be quick but have you tried a phone call?
