Professional Referee for Infants

Post by nishantshar » Fri Dec 13, 2019 12:22 pm

Hi, I have gone through a lot of posts here and couldn't find a similar case yet. We are about to submit the naturalization application for our son who is 6 months old on the basis of parents as permanent residents in UK (both of have ILR). I am struggling to decide on the professional refree as GP is the only one we have dealt so far under professional capacity for our son and the chances of GP giving us the refrence are low.

Does anyone had similar case of applying for naturalization for infant (0-12 month old) and what professional referee they used?

Thanks!

If you are a religious person, then you could use a minister of religion, as they are accepted as referees.

Thanks. The baby is just 6 months old so we haven't done any religious ceremony for him yet. And even if we do, there is still the same challenge if someone is ready to sign a heavy declaration just because they have done a ceremony for the infant.

Does anyone has experience of dealing with such a case?

Nishant

There is no experience required other than following the requirement stated in the guide. It is not a heavy declaration. They just need to confirm the identity of the child, that's why it has to be someone that has interacted with the child. Ask your GP or health visitor. you don't get if you don't ask.
