professional teacher needs a work permit for EU countries

Hello everyone,

I'm a professional primary school teacher (have a BA and a MS in teaching). I'm currently teaching in Istanbul, Turkey and seeking a job in central Europe. I was born in Jamaica but did all my education in the US.

I'm looking to find a teaching job but most schools won't hire without having a EU work permit beforehand.

Can someone advise me how to get a EU work permit to teach in either Italy, Switzerland, France or any other EU countries?

There is no EU wide work permit - each state has it's own. Plus the WP is applied for by the employer not the employee.

There might be some sort of freelance visa (I think Germany has one - don't quote me on that tho) for US citz. I'd check each countries immigration rules, I doubt anyone here would know, but u never know!
