ok, I promise this is my last question about bank statements

Seriously, I wont write anymore crazy questions because i'm freaking out about the process.

MY FINAL QUESTION!

My sponsor for settlement transfer 17,000 pounds from his alliance and leicester account to his hsbc account. (not a very good move)

i can easily get bank statements for hsbc.

BUT A and L REFUSE to give paper statements as he has a 'basic online savings account'

They also wont sign or stamp any print out statements unless we are there in person.
(we're not in the UK at the moment, and it would be really expensive just to go for statements).

So basically, the situation really sucks.

Is there anything we can do to remedy it???

My thought was to provide printed out statements for six months.
Then, also attach original letters the bank has sent my husband (for address changes and such) to somehow show this really is his account.

Any other suggestions?

You can do that with a cover letter explaining everything. But I would never recommend online statements without certification.

Hi UK_Banned_Member, thanks for the response.

Yes, we have an explaination in our letter
but in addition to this, we have two cash deposits in the amounts of 600 and 700 pounds (we're paid cash-in-hand).

so it looks really suspect.

Also, since we're paid cash, there's no regular transactions.

:(

I know printing out statements is a bad idea, but what can i do?

so, after bothering the bank people for a while,

alliance and leicester will send us tax statements for every year the account has been open (showing my husbands name, account number, tax paid, and end of year balance).

(we'll put the online statements in with these)

has anyone submitted this instead of bank statements successfully?
