Proof of English

Post by Wooden » Sun Apr 12, 2009 11:14 pm

Hi All,

I took IELTS in Nov,2006 (Listening:7.5, Reading:6.5, Writing:7.0, Speaking:6).And I applied for canadian immigration in May,2008.

I read somewhere on the internet that the IELTS test should not be older than 2 years when you apply for canadian immigration.

Could anyone please verify that:
1) My IELTS would be considered valid.
2) How many points I would get for my English Language Proof.

Please Advise.
Many Thanks, Ali.

Look at this

1. Your test results must not be more than one year old at the time that you submit your application.

(refer to page 9)

2. Award urself 4 points if

listening > = 7.5

reading, writting, speaking > = 6.5

Looks like u have 2 points for speaking.

total = 4 * 3 + 2 = 14 points.
