Proof Of Fincancial Funds - EC

Post by reincarnation » Mon Oct 01, 2007 5:10 pm

Guys,

I guess we need to show around 3000+ GBP as financial proof when we go for EC. Currently, my funds are scattered over various places and I need to deposit those to be savings account (which I will submit to the EC). By depositing such a huge money to my savings account all of a sudden, do you think the ECO will have his own doubts? If so, what else can be done to slove the problem...

Also, can we show some fixed assets like Fixed Deposits in banks against my name?

Could you just provide bank statements from each of your accounts and a note with the total?

Goldfish...My money is being invested into many small time high interest bearing investments and hence they dont have any itemised statements or anything. I need to withdraw frm these accounts and then channel into my account...But, I guess that will be a problem as the ECO might get doubts seeing these transactions.

However, I plan to withdraw these and then invest in Fixed Deposits in the bank, for which the receipts would be provided. But, again, my doubt is that will the ECO look into the dates when the FDs were made? Is there anything which tells that even the FDs should be considerably old?

The mandate seems to be more on having liquid cash so that you can convince that you will not "recourse t public funds". You could consider taking a personla loan.

Thanks,

Well..here is one another scenario. I have currently two savings bank account out of which only one of my account (salaried one) is active. I plan to submit the satement of this account to the ECO. But, there are not enough funds available here. I intened to transfer some money from my other account (which is dormant) to my salaried account so that I can convince the ECO that I have enough liquid funds at my disposal.

My question is will the ECO be satisfied by this? Or would he also want to see the statements of my other account...

You don have to transfer funds between accounts. You can show bank statements of both the accounts to show your funds. You can also do some small transactions in your dormant account to show you are using that account.

The problem is that my dormant account is way too dormant and I'm not using this since a long time..The other thing is that I will be withdrawing money from my other sources and then feeding the dormant account first and then transfer the same to my salaried one. If I submit the ECO with statement of the dormant account, then he would be surprised again to see large chunks of money being deposited all of a sudden. So, to avoid that, I plan to submit only the statement of my salaried account. Just trying to know if this works...As I plan to show more of my liquid assets than fixed...Looks like the ECO sees more of liquid ones than fixed...Is that true?
