Proof of indian origin for minor for oci

Hi

I am applying for OCI stamping for my newborn daughter. She got her british passport last week. Both myself and my wife are on Indian passport with ILR. On the VFS website, they are asking to submit proof of indian origin. That are asking for Birth certificate / Domicile certificate / Nativity certificate / Agriculture land documents. But I don't have any of those documents for me or my wife.

VFS is not giving any clear guidance when I asked about alternatives. But I understood from one of my friend that he submitted his passport and his parents (Applicants grand parents) passports as proof of indian origin.

Are these sufficient. Can you please advise as I got the appointment on tuesday. Thanks

How were you able to acquire an Indian passport without some kind of identification along these lines?

Do they ask for the documents you mention for an application by minor? Read carefully ... again.
