Proof of living in the UK for citizenship (EEA route) having lost my job recently?

Post by honyasan » Mon Jan 07, 2019 10:35 am

Hi,

I'm an EEA national and I'm currently applying for citizenship, having got my PR a couple of years ago.

I have a question on supplying evidence that I'm living in the UK. I've got P60s and employment letters for the past 5 years, but unfortunately I have been made redundant a month and a half ago. I can supply a P45 for that but what would be suitable evidence I'm living in the UK for the past month and a half? The documentation states that "If you are an EEA National, you need to include letters from employers, educational establishments, or other Government Departments indicating your presence in the United Kingdom during the relevant period.". This seems to discard obvious things like bank statements and utility bills, as it has been mentioned in the forums before.

This has been asked a few times in the forum but I haven't seen an answer to my particular case. Can someone help?

Thanks.
