Prospects of C++ based jobs for Tier-1

Hi All,

I am working as a software engineer in a MNC in bangalore and have a work exp of 5 years. I have been working with C,C++ on unix and windows.

I am planning to apply for HSMP ( Tier-1). Those folks who have been in similar domain - kindly share your experiences and various prospects around this. This would benefit me in planning for my HSMP.

q1) What are the prospects like for C/C++ jobs in terms of relative number of jobs ? Are they too limited and really tough to find them.

q2) do we require additional skill set as a must like C#, Java, Database etc in addition to C++ ?

Would really appreciate your responses.
