psw to tier 4 after april 2011

Dear all,

Can someone please tell me if i have to go back to my country as i want to extend my visa from psw to tier 4 student visa..My psw is going to end on 24 may 2011,if i join any college for MBA for june session and apply for student visa in end of the may 3022,can i apply from here.
i heard that after end of march 2011 ppl need to go back to their country and apply.please suggest.

1. Nobody knows the situation yet.
2. My institution has told me that all the PSW visa holders should be fine and all the new requirements wud be for new and existing tier4.
3. Again you dont know wat wud happen.

As per UKBA consultation and experts opinion, make up your mind for the following from now:

1. PSW will be removed and switching for existing PSW visa holders will only be allowed to eligible work visas as UKBA worried all existing PSW visa holders will switch to students visa to remain in the UK.
2. IELTS/English test will become compulsory for all applicants who do not have UK equvalant bachelors degree.
3. Dependents will no more allowed for students.
4. Visa extensions will only be possible on higher level of current studies.
5. Restrictions on student work eligibility. [10 hours / In-campus work only]
6. Visa fee will be increased.

Its only possible changes which may become enforce from April'11 or may be some of them from Aug'11. Nothing is confirmed yet but expect the worst.

My suggession is join MBA in April'11 session if possible and apply for Tier 4 visa accordingly. Don't wait for May, 3022 coz you wont gonna live that long or worlds may end in 2012.
