PSW to Tier 2 six months in the same job, same employer rule

Post by PBS123 » Fri Nov 06, 2009 7:37 pm

Hi everyone!

I am back with another question:

As I understand in order to qualify under PSW to Tier 2 route you would need to have worked for the same employer in the same job with PSW visa for at least 6 months prior to the application. My question is could the HO reject my application based on received pay rises within past 6 months? My job (both title and responsibilities) has not changed but I have been given pay rise since starting shift hours (which has also the same in terms of working hours). I would appreciate any clarification on this please.

Job history:

Job title: Java Support Analyst, working hours 37.5 per week

Started under IGS visa on 09/2008 (Normal hours pay 18500)

Received my PSW extension visa on 07/2009 (Normal hours pay 18500)

Received first pay rise on 08/2009 due to change of working hours i.e. working evening and night shifts (Shift hours pay 25200)

Received second pay rise on 10/2009 due to annual pay review (Shift hours pay 26000)

Many thanks
