Is it public Fund or not?

Post by T_mahmood » Mon Oct 20, 2008 10:16 pm

I have searched this forum and I could not find any question related to this. I would be grateful if someone could let me know

Is receiving Mileage Allowence Relief (MAP) is public fund? I use my perosnal car for my employer and i am paid mileage from the company. As company is paying less rate 25p per mile, while the official rate is 40p. The remaining I have to apply from inland revenue. Some amount is paid back by cheque and some is increased for my peronsal allowence. I just want to check that is this public fund or not?

No problem! None of that is Public Funds .... not the 25p per mile paid by your employer ..... nor the tax relief on the other 15p per mile you will receive from HMRC.

Nothing to worry about.
