Public Funds Question SET(O)

Post by ilr_dependent » Thu Sep 03, 2020 2:16 am

Hi,

I've attained my British Citizenship 4 yrs ago and am currently a British Passprt Holder.
I'm applying ILR for my Spouse currently based on the PBS (Tier-2) Dependent , as she has completed her 5yrs on a PBS dependent Visa.

Have completed the entire form online, but have one area of doubt.
There is a section which asks for Public Fund requirement.

Do you or anyone else who is part of this application receive any public funds? (Required)
Include details for your partner or child if you have one.
Examples of public funds include Income Support, Child Benefit, Housing Benefit,
Council Tax Benefit, Carer’s Allowance and Disability Living Allowance.

See Picture.

In our case i'm receiving Child Benefit on behalf of my son, Both Me and my Son are British Citizens.
So Do I need to mention "Yes" in this section and provide the details.

But the Question is only meant for the Applicant or anyone who is a part of the Application.
Does that Include myself too.

This may be a naive question but
Is there any possibility of rejection if the partner of Applicant receives public funds.

Any views appreciated.

Simply mention no. You are not part of the application and child benefit is on your name. It will have no effect on your partner’s ILR.
