My husband is currently on the 10 year route (we just got married last year). his immigration history is complicated by the fact that his previous ILR claim was wrongly denied due to an administrative error, he won the case at judicial review and accepted a settlement of 30 months leave with ILR after 10 years. This is his penultimate renewal (if it helps we own our own home and are married, both employed but no kids yet). He's just submitted his application for his renewal of 30 months limited leave to remain, we wanted to pay for super priority, but when his lawyer was completing his application there were no slots so we did the standard service. He submitted his biometrics about a month ago. Has anyone ever recieved their application in the 'most applications are resolved within 8 weeks' timeframe? We have some urgent family emergencies which would require us to travel outside of the country within the next 3 months and don't know what we'll do if he's unable to travel.. Would writing to our local MP help his case be resolved faster? Will it be an easier assessment and yes to his application because he's married to a british citizen?
