Qualification when not relevant to chosen field...

Post by geekboy » Tue Jan 10, 2006 4:53 am

Hi All,

I'm working in IT as a technical consultant (and have been for the last 7 years).

However my degree is a Bachelor of Arts, completely unrelated to the field I'm now skilled in (I didn't take any computing papers).

Will this count against me for the HSMP application, or are they just interested in the fact that I have a degree?

Thanks in advance,

Geekboy.

Just interested in the fact that you have a degree and the work you are doing is of graduate level- irregardless of the overlap

Geekboy: I was wondering if your B.A. degree ( i guess, it's for 3 yrs) can be verified for equivalency from NARIC AND if you had got some diploma/certificate course in IT field?

Thanks for your replies.

No, the diploma was not in an IT related field... it was cross-credited to allow me to complete the degree.
