a. Is it which application, naturalisation home office application or passort?
they ask whether she is staying in UK at the time of application. but asked not to send any cover letter.
How to convey them she is staying at the time of application
b. how to prove she is staying. i have school letter gave in July 2024. (in sep applied for naturalisation mn1),
does it suffice to prove, i have gp letters but in 2023.

Provide what they asked. Ask the school/gp to write a more recent letter.

Hi Team,

My wife received naturalization certificate in the ceremony. We applied for her passport without any mistakes in surname or firstname.
However we see delays from the nationality team.

Got an latest email saying there is a surname change from UKVI , but we didnt have any surname change neither in ILR applicaiton, nor indian passport nor Applicaiton for naturaisation . We have all proofs like ILR copy, Ref number of applicaitonfor naturalisation reference and also earlier dependency extention home office reference number. From none of indian passports have surname change , also for the past 10 years history in UK applicaiton - no surname change. i think they got confuse or some mistake with my surname(yyyy)

shall my wife send one letter to nationality team saying we never had any surname change inclduing indian passports for last 10 years(attaching ILR BRP photocopy, ref.no of naturalisaiton as a brisitsh citizen applicaiton, dependent extention, first spouse visa extention ref numbers , BRP photo copies) and say we never had any surname change including naturalisation nor passport application.

Here is their complete email

Thank you for your passport application. We have reviewed your application and it has come to our attention that according to United Kingdom Visas and Immigration (UKVI), you have had a name change to xxxxx yyyy

As zzzz is the only surname on the nationality certificate, we would need you to ask UKVI to add the other surname on the certificate.

If UKVI had been satisfied with the evidence provided, they would have either re-issued the certificate or added an endorsement which clearly stated that the original was incorrect and that the correct detail has been added.

Please note that we cannot issue a passport with the details shown on the application, as they must match the information on the nationality certificate.
What you need to do
If you have further evidence to support the requested amendment that you have not already supplied, please contact Citizenship & Nationality Enquiries. They will be able to provide information as to what evidence they can accept. You may contact them by post at, UKVI at Department 201, The Capital, New Hall Place, Liverpool L3 9PP (telephone 0300 123 2253, or you can visit their website at www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi ). You would need to send them the certificate and proof of the correct personal details. If they amend or re-issue the certificate, we will be able to issue a passport when we receive the certificate.

Alternatively, we can issue a passport so that it agrees with the original details currently shown on the document. Please let me know if you prefer this. Send a signed and dated letter that lets us know what you want to do.

KINDLY HELP ME please

Do as they say:
Alternatively, we can issue a passport so that it agrees with the original details currently shown on the document. Please let me know if you prefer this. Send a signed and dated letter that lets us know what you want to do.

Send a singed and dated letter with the decision that you want a passport in the name xxxxx zzzz. That should work.

Thanks

We never changed any surname in last 10 years nor Indian passport. All brp including ILR perfectly fine with correct first name and last name. Why they said according to ukc you have name change..
But it never happened

Why the mistake happened or where it happened because brps and naturalisation perfectly correct..if any mistake it would have reflected there

Dear Sir/Madam,
Greetings for the day!
Sub: Clarification Regarding Name Discrepancy.

I hope this message finds you well and in good health.

Following up on your recent email, I understand from United Kingdom Visas and Immigration (UKVI) records that my name appears as "abc def." I would like to clarify that my legal name is abc def, where the first name is "abc" and the last name is "def" At no point have I changed my surname in any applications submitted to the Home Office or on my Indian passports or any NHS etc.
I am unsure how "def" has been replaced with "ZZZ" in UKVI records.

For your reference, I have attached copies of various Home Office applications and related documents, including residence cards, which clearly state my name as:
• First name: abc
• Last name: def
S.No UK Home office application Name Reference Number Submitted Name – No changes in the BRP cards
1 Application for Naturalization as a British citizen Unique Application number: xxx/yyy
Date of application: xth Sep xxx
Firstname : abc ; Last Name : def

2 Naturalization certificate xxxxxx - 18th Nov xx - Name : abc def
3 Indefinite leave to remain xxx Name : abc def
4 All dependent visas 2014 to 2024 Name : abc def
6 Indian passport xxxx 2007 to 2017 Name : abc def
7 Latest NHS copy xxxx 20 Nov 2024 Name : abc def
8 UK provisional DL xxxx

Additionally, my naturalization certificate and Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) documents correctly reflect my name as "abc def" Therefore, I kindly request that my passport be issued in alignment with the details on my naturalization certificate.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. Please feel free to reach out if further clarification is required.
Wishing you a wonderful day ahead!

Yours faithfully,

abc def

No need for any of this, just write them a letter specifying it is your intention for your name to appear as abc def.

I would start with a simple letter as they requested, wait for a response, then provide more evidence if that is unsuccessful.

Following up on your recent email, I noticed that the United Kingdom Visas and Immigration (UKVI) records list my name as "abc xxx." However, I would like to clarify that my full legal name is abc def, with "abc" as my first name and "def" as my last name.

Subject: Request to Issue Passport Based on Naturalization Certificate

I hope this message finds you well.

Following up on your recent email, I noticed that the United Kingdom Visas and Immigration (UKVI) records list my name as "abc xxx." I would like to clarify that my full legal name is abc def, with my first name as "abc" and last name as "def."

For reference, both my naturalization certificate and Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) documents accurately reflect my name as "abc def." Accordingly, I would prefer that my passport be issued in alignment with the details on my naturalization certificate. I would greatly appreciate your assistance!

That letter should be ok, remember to sign and date it.

Also make reference in the letter that the name(s) and surname(s) in the passport of your country of origin and the naturalisation certificate are the same.

HMPO should proceed accordingly.
